01. Summary:
In Chapter 4 Lillian Goetz was a victim of arsenic poisoning from a
piece of huckleberry pie.After her death that day and many other trips
to the hospital by customers at the same restaurant police soon got
involved. The main focus was soon put on the chefs and owner of the
small restaurant. Another case of arsenic poisoning Charles Avery by
his own sister Fanny and her husband John. After his death neighbors
and others became suspicious of Fanny and John, with about a couple of
months later detectives were investigating them. Fanny was not
convicted of murder though, through the lack of evidence, even though
people all over was convinced that she did it.
